Best known as: Leading Lady and Founder of God’s Word Will and Way Ministries

Pastor Joyce Robin Jones was born in Brunswick County, North Carolina.  She received the Lord as her personal Savior and was baptized at the age of 11 at Gaston Baptist Church in North Carolina.  Pastor Jones accepted the call to preach the Word of God on April 28, 1993. While preaching the word, Pastor Jones taught Sunday school classes, led a prison ministry to persons incarcerated in correctional facilities in the State of Maryland, and served on numerous choir ministries.

Pastor Jones spiritually led by youth had a desire to expand her technological knowledge. With that knowledge, Pastor Jones received two degrees from Philadelphia Bible Institute College.  She earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Bible Studies and a Bachelor’s in Theology. God gave her a vision two years ago to start a ministry, she shared the vision with her husband and together they are moving to make the vision a reality. God has blessed both of them and the ministry is growing.

Pastor Jones has been married to Tyrone Phillip Jones, Sr. for over 25 years and together they have two sons- Tyrone Phillip Jones, Jr. and Isaiah Jones and reside in Baltimore, Maryland. Pastor Jones has many scriptures that she dwells on, but her favorite scripture is Psalm 121:1-2“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”

There are other things Pastor Jones continues to seek in the Kingdom of God in her walk with Christ. She is not finished. Her work for the Kingdom of God continues.

Bishop Gerald A. Edwards was born the sixth of seven children in a small town in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to Roger and Beatrice Edwards.  In 1976 he joined Friendship Ministries Inc., formerly known as Second Friendship Baptist Church, where he put his hand to the plow and worked in many areas of the ministry.   It is here where he established a relationship with the Lord and was given the gift of the Holy Spirit. He studied at the feet of two great men of God, the late Reverend Isaiah Jackson and the Late Elder Abraham Houston.

1982 was a pivotal year in his life, the year that he answered the call to the ministry. He worked in ministry along side Elder Abraham Houston until the Lord called Pastor Houston home.  It was then that God elevated him to the office of Pastor in 1986.  Pastoring Friendship Ministries has been a rewarding experience working with the wonderful people at Friendship. Although there have been mountains as well as valleys the journey has been worth it.  He gives total credit and praise to God for all his accomplishments.  But his ultimate goal is to hear the Lord say, “Well done thy good and faithful servant.”
